Previously William wrote confessing his 'imprudent' feelings for the Queen's niece [Duchess Charlotte Georgine Luise Friederike of Mecklenburg-Strelitz?]; the Queen believes those feelings to be normal in a young man such as William, but he should realise the inconveniency of their possible union. She urges him to break the affair.
