Description | The accounts include for money received and spent, the latter including purchases of wine and port, lottery tickets, payments to staff and tradesmen (named and unnamed), travelling expenses, donations, clothing and food, and musical instruments. Payments for Prince William include for staff, clothing, opera glasses and chocolate, and for Prince Frederick for madeira. A note on page 28 records that part of the account book dates from the time of de Budé's departure from Geneva in June 1772. |
