Description
As commanded by the Princess of Wales, Cresset is informing Lee of the death of Mr [James] Douglas [Clerk of the Household]. The Princess also asks Lee to meet Mr [Henry] Pelham to make him aware of her desire that Sir John Cust will be successful in his appointment. Cresset suggests alternative names in case Cust's nomination is not supported.
