Following their last conversation in which Cresset expressed his opinion on the Lord Bishop of Norwich, the Reverend has been feeling torn between revealing that to the Bishop or being unfaithful to him and hide the truth. A later note, in pencil, suggests to compare this with Horace Walpole's Letter, vol. III, p. 136, of Toybee's edition [The Letters of Horace Walpole, Oxford, 1904].
