Arbuthnot [sent on a mission to congratulate the Duke of Württemberg on his accession, Feb. 1798] reports that the Duchess is not well enough to write; after the birth of her daughter she was in a critical condition, but she is now much better and he hopes to be able to report her complete recovery to the King on hs return to England in a few days' time.
