Description
Dated from 'Monbeljar' [the county of Montbéliard belonged to the Duchy of Württemberg at this time and Duke Friedrich II lived there], and signed 'Dorothee'.
Amid florid expressions of affection, the Duchess remarks that she is pleased with her future son-in-law [?the Tsarevich Paul, later Tsar Paul I], and asks the Duchess of Brunswick to intervene with her brother the King [George III] on behalf of an unnamed friend.
