Description
The Prince refers to his previous recommendation of conciliatory measures towards Ireland, and that the Government instead decided on a system of coercion. He refers to papers seized in Belfast which reveal the increasing membership of the Society of United Irishmen. The Prince describes his duty to prevent a rebellion in Ireland, and draws parallels between Ireland and America.
