DescriptionSunday. The weather has been so unfavourable that none of the party here have been able to get out. The church being about 2 miles distant, Rev. Mr Peter Legh has read the morning service and preached an excellent sermon in the Hall. And the afternoon continuing to be unfavourable, prayers are to be read at home at 3.
Monday 23rd November. Ross has completed two sittings this morning and as the post leaves soon, he must shorten this letter. Ross hopes the parrot is well and that his admonitions to the naughty boys are not so much needed. Ross must write to Magdalene next, in the meantime he sends his love to her and asks that his kind remembrances are given to Edwin.
