DescriptionCumming writes that he deeply fears the country is to pass through a season of great trial, but had the clergy directed attention to the subject earlier, it would probably have been otherwise. ' If we are indeed a people of God, it will always be well with us. It is only for a little that Popery will prevail'. Cumming writes that the best way to do good is to circulate information and he recommends the publications of the Reform Society.
