DescriptionPurdy writes that he has been requested by the Council of the Kensington Conversazione to communicate the following resolution, which has been adopted unanimously, that 'Sir William Ross be commissioned to paint a miniature portrait of Mrs Woolley, to be presented to Mr F. Woolley by the members of the Kensington Conversazione in testimony of his generous hospitality to them during the past season; and that Sir William Ross be informed at the same time, that the surplus funds, which the Council can devote to this purpose, is fifty guineas'.
