Description
Queen Victoria reports to the Prince of Wales that 'Poor Commander Fullerton [John Reginald Thomas Fullerton, R.N.] of the Victoria & Albert is struggling on after a very severe attack of typhoid fever & his lungs are I fear greatly affected'. The Queen also says that Colonel (later Sir) George Ashley Maude 'has also got a son very ill with the awful fever but he is I hope past the worst'.
