DescriptionQueen Victoria thanks the Prince of Wales for sending a leaf from Lady Canning's tomb: 'You were always like dear Papa in bringing back & sending flowers from places of interest to me'. On the Opening of Parliament, the Queen stresses the importance of the Princess of Wales being present in the Prince's absence (in India), but understands his preference for his sons not going without him.
