Description
Queen Victoria reports to the Prince of Wales that 'Everyone says how friendly, kind & considerate you are to all. I am glad you were pleased with Ld. [Thomas George Baring 1st Earl of] Northbrook'. The Queen sanctions the Prince's proposals for the Star of India (during his Indian tour). She also comments on her reason for suggesting the presence of the Prince's sons at the Opening of Parliament, and her appreciation of the simplicity of their upbringing.
