DescriptionThe Prince suggests that Queen Victoria might go more often to London and be seen out driving etc. He agrees with the Queen and Lord Clarendon on the undesirability of his meeting the King of Greece at Corfu, and replies to the Queen's advice [given in VIC/ADD/A/3/121]. General approval of the behaviour of his suite and defence of the Duke of Sutherland and Sir Samuel Baker. The Prince reports on his activities, visits paid, etc., in Vienna, including his meeting with Princess Alexandrine Dietrichstein and the view of the Austrian situation of her husband Count Alexander Mensdorf. He also comments on his visit to George V, Ex-King of Hanover, and his family at Hietzing; on his meeting with Sophie, Countess Kinsky (née Mensdorff); and gives his favourable impressions of Prince Albert of Prussia. The Prince also remarks on the Duke of Teck's view of the Prince of Wurttemberg as a 'parti' for Princess Louise.
