Description
The Prince notes Queen Victoria's anxiety about Prince Alfred and hopes he will outgrow 'that serious habit that he has'. The Prince also remarks on the 'very sad' marriage of Lady Susan Clinton [to Lord Adolphus Vane-Tempest], noting that the Duke [of Newcastle] is 'quite broken hearted'. The Prince thanks his mother for the photograph of Prince Napoleon and Princess Clotilde, and for two of himself.
