Description
Accounts of tour to Suez [Egypt], Constantinople [Istanbul, Turkey] etc. The Prince reports that Lionel Moore has been attached to his suite in Constantinople. The Prince comments on the position and reputation of Augustus Hobart-Hampden R.N. in Turkey, and on the state of the Crimean War cemeteries. Request to Queen Victoria to receive the son of Ismail Pasha, Khedive of Egypt. The Prince asks the Queen to appoint himself and the Duke of Edinburgh as her Honorary Aides-de-Camp.
