Description
The Prince reports on his visits in Germany, including dinner with the King of Prussia and listing the attendees present. He comments on the state of the Princess of Wales's knee during treatment at Wildbad. He also refers to the sale of Ernest, Duke of Wurtemberg, expressing hopes of acquiring some possessions. Remarking on Queen Victoria's disapproval of the engagement of the Marquis of Blandford to Lady Alberta Hamilton, the Prince notes the Marquis 'Has been very wild...but...nobody could be steadier now' on account of Lord Lansdowne's good influence. The Prince also mentions Joseph Julius Kanné.
