Description
The Prince gives his impressions of Quebec during his tour of Canada, commenting on his reception and functions there. He mentions that Adm. Sir Alexander Milne and Sir William Fenwick Williams came on board to meet him on his arrival at Halifax. He also remarks on knighting the Speakers of both Houses of Assembly, Narcisse-Fortunat Belleau and Henry Smith. The Prince also reports that he regularly sees Lord Lyons, who met the Prince on his arrival at Quebec: 'he seems a very nice person, but not at all like his father'.
