Description
The Prince thanks his father for sending him his (Prince Albert's) correspondence with Lord Kingsdown and expresses regret at Lord Kingsdown's resignation of the Chancellorship of the Duchy of Cornwall. The Prince also refers to the deaths of the Grand Duke of Mecklenburg Strelitz and of Lady Adela Ibbetson, commenting 'what trials poor Lady Jersey has had this year'. He also alludes to 'the unfortunate occurrence between Sir H. Keppel & Lady Grey'. The Prince also describes some of his activities in America.
