DescriptionThe Prince is pleased Queen Victoria spoke to Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, and found him anxious to act appropriately regarding advice about his ship [VC/ADD/A/3/74], and comments on the desirability of the Duke visiting Australia. The Prince asks Queen Victoria to see Sir Henry Keppel, who is unhappy at the thought of Queen Victoria's continued displeasure after the 'unfortunate scrape he got into nearly 7 years ago': the Prince notes that the Prince Consort was very kind to Keppel. The Reverend Charles Kingsley has been staying at Sandringham and preached that day.
