Letter from Albert Edward, Prince of Wales, to Queen Victoria
Date
25 February 1860
Writer
Albert Edward, Prince of Wales (1841-1910)

Victoria, Queen
Description
The Prince expresses his regret at Queen Victoria thinking he had taken her advice 'in an indifferent way...I thought that as you & Papa had spoken to me on the subject before it was not necessary to touch upon it again'. He notes that Prince Alfred may arrive either tomorrow or the day after, and refers to his sister, the Crown Princess of Prussia, and his hopes that 'the event will pass off quite happily' [possibly the birth of her second child in July?].
