TitleLetter from Joseph Cundall to Charles Ruland as to postponing the photography in the National Gallery.
Date13 July 1860
WriterCundall, Joseph; photographer
AddresseeRuland, Charles; Librarian to the Prince Consort
DescriptionCundall reports that Sir Charles Eastlake has given permission for the National Gallery's large Perugino to be moved out of doors to be photographed in about 6 weeks' time, during the vacation, as the Trustees do not wish it, or the St Catherine, to be moved from the walls yet. He comments that both pictures will photograph very well outside, but that the Giorgione is impossible. He sends 'rough' prints from his first day's work at the Gallery, but the rest should be postponed unless the Prince Consort wants them immediately.
