Description
Cundall writes that he has seen the Raphael cartoon at the Foundling Hospital; it is in a bad condition, but he suggests photographing it and having the photograph touched up by an artist. He states that it is an important and authentic work, and asks Ruland to write to the Governor of the Hospital for permission if he wants it photographed. This is a cartoon of 'The Massacre of the Innocents', attributed at the time to Raphael.
