TitleLetter from the Rev. Frederick Sutton to Charles Ruland as to having his Raphael picture (of St Michael) photographed after the close of the British Institution exhibition in which it has been displayed.
Date24 July 1861
WriterSutton, Frederick H., Rev.
AddresseeRuland, Charles; Librarian to the Prince Consort
DescriptionSutton writes that he thinks it best for his picture to be photographed after the close of the British Institution exhibition, and he has written to Messrs Seguier & Smart to see that the photographer is given every assistance to make a good copy. But because of the darkness of the armour and background he doubts that this will be possible. He adds that he has no objection to Cundall using the plate.
