DescriptionMessrs. Colnaghi write in response to a letter from Ruland (not present), stating that the 27 plates they sent (see VIC/ADDA10/85/194) constitute the complete set; it was previously submitted to the Emperor Napoleon. They add that Dovizielli washes his photographs in running water from the Tiber, and comment that 'it made our hearts ache as he described all the facilities he had for water power.' They promise to provide a set conforming to the Prince Consort's stipulations about the colour, if he orders one, and state that the price is £24.
