TitleLetter from J.C. Robinson to Charles Ruland sending photographs of M. de Lasalle's Raphael drawings.
Date15 May 1860
WriterRobinson, John Charles; Keeper of Art Collections, South Kensington Museum
AddresseeRuland, Charles; German Librarian to the Prince Consort
DescriptionRobinson states that on a recent visit to Paris he obtained from his friend M. de Lasalle photographs of four drawings by Raphael in his collection. The negatives were made for Passavant several years ago, and the photographs are not good, but as they have not been reproduced before, Robinson thinks they may be a worthy addition to the Prince Consort's collection.
See VIC/ADDA10/85/244, referring to the same drawings, of which Baron de Triqueti also sent his set of photographs to the Prince.
