TitleLetter from W. Tinker to Charles Ruland announcing that he has sent 8 glass plate negatives and prints of Raphael drawings at the Teyler Museum to the Prince Consort.
Date6 June 1861
WriterTinker, W.; photographer at Haarlem
AddresseeRuland, Charles; Librarian to the Prince Consort
DescriptionTinker writes that he has forwarded 8 glass negatives, with prints from each, to the Prince Consort and explains that the delay is because he has been unwell. He adds that he previously sent the wrong negative of one of the drawings he photographed, and he is now sending the right one.
He appends a list of the drawings (the subjects are not mentioned) giving the measurements of the originals where the photographs are not of the original size, and showing the medium in which each is drawn (red chalk, pen & ink etc). He also passes on a request from the directors of the Teyler Museum as to how they can obtain copies of each of the drawings when they are published.
