AddresseeBecker, Ernst, Dr.; Librarian to the Prince Consort
DescriptionErskine writes that he has received a payment which he assumes is to cover the charges of the photographer Hansen, whom he has duly paid. But he has also received a box containing a diamond ring, and has been informed by the British Minister to Prussia that a parcel addressed to him from Sir Charles Phipps is on its way; he is puzzled as to what he is to do with these.
