AddresseeAlbert, Prince Consort; Olfers, Ignaz von, Dr.
DescriptionDr Olfers writes that he is sending four portfolios containing 24 photographs of drawings by Raphael in the Kupferstichcabinet (Print Room) of the Royal Museums in Berlin, explaining that he had delayed sending them in the hopes of obtaining better results by having the drawings photographed again, but that the persistently unfavourable winter weather prevented this. He therefore decided to send the photographs he had, trusting that they will not be altogether unwelcome to the Prince.
