| Description | Gruner writes to say that the Dowager Queen of Saxony has gladly given permission for the drawing of the Massacre of the Innocents to be photographed for the Prince Consort and he hopes to be able to send a good photographic print soon; it only requires a little further work by the photographer to get the size right, and Gruner asks to be reminded what this should be. He would have written a week earlier had he not been in daily expectation of the return of Count Riesch, who is still away.
Gruner goes on to ask Becker to enquire whether Herr Müller could resume his work at Osborne after 15 April, which would allow 3 full months for the completion of the Council Room. Gruner believes the Prince has approved the drawings, and the more work Müller can do himself, the better the result will be.
Finally, he reminds Becker to send him the copy of the drawing of Alexander before Roxana that he had asked for (see VIC/ADDA10/85/387). |
