Prince Albert's draft plan for the arrangement of his Stable Department, recording the number of horses he planned to keep, the number of staff required and details of the authority of the Master of the Horse. He writes 'Some method should be devised with the Master of the Horse, to give all the subordinates in his department clearly to understand that an order from The Prince is tantamount to a direct order from the Queen'.
