Description
Melbourne saw Duncannon. The Duchess of Kent is in an uneasy and excited state. This is natural considering it is the greatest crisis in Her Royal Highness's life. Suggested to appoint someone to manage her affairs. Duncannon's message concerning a picture at Hampton Court. Cabinet unable to discuss and settle meeting of Parliament, because of the absence of certain information. Melbourne tells Queen Victoria what the business of Treasurer is. He advises combination of Treasurer and Privy Purse.
