Melbourne sees no reason why the Foreign Boxes should not be sent in the manner Queen Victoria desires. Will speak to Palmerston and others about it, and write later. Melbourne pleased to hear the trouble is finally got rid of (in connection with the Duchess of Kent). Report from Lord Melbourne's doctor. Feels depressed. Hector John Graham, 2nd Earl of Norbury, shot in his grounds.
