TitleLetter from Lord Melbourne to Queen Victoria
Date5 April 1840
WriterMelbourne, 2nd Viscount
AddresseeVictoria, Queen
DescriptionMelbourne much too tired and busy to speak to Lord Albemarle. Melbourne always feared anything like a mixture of Stable Establishments. Prince's horses should be kept separate. Horses to be used by one set of people and fed by another will never do. If servants get matters into their hands, neither Deity, nor Devil, nor both together, can make them agree.
