DescriptionBaron Brunnow says a letter is come from Paris with good news. A disposition to bring matters to a conclusion with Mehmet Ali. The Hereditary Grand Duke has arrived at Darmstadt and made a formal demand for the hand of the Princess [of Hesse], which has been acceded to. The Empress of Russia is about to proceed to Warsaw and elsewhere, and ultimately to Darmstadt to make acquaintance of her future daughter-in-law.
