Description
Lord Aberdeen has fixed Monday for his Church of Scotland Bill, and Melbourne cannot be absent. He therefore cannot come down to Windsor. He asked Aberdeen to put it off, but he positively declined. Letters received from Lady Holland and also from Lady Braye. Difficult to find anything about Edward Oxford [who attempted to assassinate Queen Victoria]. Melbourne rejoiced to hear of Her Majesty's reception at the Opera.
