Lord William Henry Montagu-Douglas-Scott Dalkeith's (after 6th Duke of Buccleuch) refusal of the Lord Lieutenancy of Dumfriesshire. Richard John Griffith recommended for a baronetcy for services in Ireland. Lord Carlisle's recommendation of Lieutenant Colonel T.A. Larcom for Knight Commander (K.C.B.). Thanks of the Duke of Wellington, the Duke of Devonshire and Lord Harrowby (for award of the Garter) conveyed to Queen Victoria by Lord Palmerston.
