Description
Lord Derby's recommendations relating to legal offices in Scotland. Mr William Penny to seat on Bench vacant by the death of Lord Robert Handyside. His position as regards Solicitor Generalship. Proposal, in view of his lack of experience in criminal business, to transfer Lord Charles Neaves to Justiciary (Criminal) Court and make room for Mr Penny in the Court of Session.
