Description	Lord Derby on the proposal to confer the Order of the Bath on the Kings of Siam [Thailand]. The second King's desire for a British order. Necessity for also conferring one on the first King. Proposal as to a Companionship (C.B.). His view as to granting a Grand Cross (G.C.B.) to Said Pasha, Khedive of Egypt. It is assumed that he was the Khedive, though he is only spoken of as Pasha. ('Khedive' title only conferred in 1867, on Said's successor Ismail).
