Description
Lord Palmerston's proposal to make John Arthur, 2nd Baron Bloomfield, a Privy Councillor, in accordance with the usual practice regarding ambassadors. Cabinet opinion regarding communication to Austria on the subject of Venetia (Italy). Lord Palmerston's report of the success of the combined operations in China and congratulations to Queen Victoria. Navy Estimates to be framed on the assumption of the maintenance of the same number of men and boys as now employed. Request for a Council for the Prorogation of Parliament.
