Description
Lord Palmerston on Cabinet's assent to Queen Victoria's proposal of an increase of Princess Mary of Cambridge's allowance, in the event of her marriage being settled. Lord Palmerston's proposal to separate the Living of Ewelme from the Regius Professorship of Divinity at Oxford University. Reverend Robert Payne Smith submitted for the Regius Professorship of Divinity. Mr Henry B. Farnall and Mr Robert Rawlinson submitted for a Companionship (C.B.) for their work among distressed cotton spinners in Lancashire.
