Title
Letter from Lord Melbourne to Queen Victoria
Date
26 December 1846
Writer
Melbourne, 2nd Viscount
Addressee
Victoria, Queen
Description
Lord Melbourne's pleasure on hearing from Queen Victoria. Greatly interested in the "Lives of the Chancellors". The correspondence of the Duke of Bedford is well worth reading. He realises the difficulty of offering relief in an effectual manner (in Ireland), and dealing with the general imposture. Thanks the King of the Belgians for the kindness of his recollection.
