Victoria, Queen
Description
Melbourne replies to Queen Victoria's letter on the French Revolution. A tremendous event. If Louis Philippe has committed errors, God knows he has sufficiently expiated for them. Melbourne says the vote in the Commons on Property Tax is the first decisive symptom he has observed of a sense and spirit equal to the crisis and the emergency.
