DescriptionBeauvale regrets that letters are missing from the box entrusted to Cowper [Queen Victoria's letters to Lord Melbourne]. Melbourne's confidential servant has found two more packets. More may exist in cupboards in South Street. Ellice has promised that all letters found shall be delivered to Beauvale unexamined. If Brougham demurs Ellice will appeal to the Court of Chancery. Seals to be placed on all papers in South Street.
