Letter from Lord Palmerston to Queen Victoria
Date
18 August 1837
Writer
Palmerston, Henry, 3rd Viscount
Addressee
Victoria, Queen
Description
Hour for Audience fixed. Others to attend Queen Victoria at same time. The Duke of Brunswick's letter might reasonably be answered by Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Kent. This would not commit Her Majesty to invite him to Court, as he evidently desires. Letters from Prince Charles of Naples to Queen Victoria. Palmerston's sharp comment on the Prince. Palmerston suggests that Her Majesty should advise Mr Temple to bring about reconciliation between the Prince and the King. The Geographer of the Foreign Office to prepare two Atlases for Queen Victoria to aid her when reading Foreign Dispatches.
