Description
Queen Victoria does not altogether approve Sir Charles Bagot's appointment as Governor-General of Canada. Queen Victoria's confidential letter to Peel, expressing her desire that Charles William, 3rd Marquess of Londonderry, not be employed in any post of importance. Queen Victoria desires Peel to mention all suggestions for appointments to her first, before approaching anyone as to office.
