DescriptionQueen Victoria's consideration requested regarding a Canonry for Reverend Mr Wood, who was Tutor to Prince George of Cambridge. Peel suggests for him the vacancy at Worcester. Prorogation of Parliament. Death of Mr Harrison, Attorney-General of the Duchy of Cornwall. Peel suggests that Her Majesty's Attorney-General might perform the duties for the time being, thus easing the finances of the Duchy. Mr Darby desires time to consult supporters, but, unable to wait, Peel nominates the Honourable Charles Hope [as Commissioner of Greenwich Hospital], who will accept.
