Proposed that incomes derived from trade should only pay half tax. Negatived. Then, that incomes derived from trade or professions exempt. Negatived. All officers under rank of General and Flag officers exempt. Negatived. Peel says no creation [of an Irish peerage] can take place a year after the third extinction. Question in the Commons as to custody of a witness [in connection with the Southampton Election Committee]. The House to meet at noon to consider the legality of the Speaker's Warrant.
