Description
Letter from Comte de Saint-Aulaire, offering to ascertain whether there was any foundation for a statement in the "Times" respecting the liability of certain lights on the coast of France being mistaken for English lights. Peel has written to the Admiralty and Trinity House. Duke of Wellington fears neglect and loss by vessels not taking a pilot. Peel will do what he can, as desired by Queen Victoria, in connection with the sad losses of life on the Channel coasts.
