Description
Motion by O'Brien for a Select Committee to inquire into the operation of the Irish Poor Law, negatived. Williams's motion respecting expenses incurred upon Royal Parks for several years. Good feeling in the House. Agreed. Palmerston said he would not renew the debate on the Treaty of Washington. Hume gave notice that he would move that Queen Victoria's servants and Lord Ashburton were entitled to the Thanks of Parliament for having concluded the Treaty.
